How to extract PDF tables to Excel
Pull table-style data out of a PDF and into an Excel workbook for sorting, cleanup, and analysis.
Quick steps
- Open the PDF to Excel tool.
- Upload the PDF that contains the table data.
- Choose all pages or only the pages that hold the tables you need.
- Download the XLSX file and review the sheet structure.
After conversion
- Clean up merged cells or header rows if the source table was complex.
- Keep the spreadsheet version for analysis and export a PDF later for sharing.
- Compare totals back to the source PDF before using the numbers downstream.
